The Leaving Certificate is a two-year programme that aims to provide learners with a broad, balanced education while also offering some specialisation toward particular career options. At Clarin College, we pride ourselves on the diverse range of options that cater for all our students' career paths. With numerous Business, Science and Technology choices, it enables our students to partake in subjects that best fit their educational needs and their desired career.
Senior cycle students have the following options available to them with the following terms and conditions:
- All students must study the three core subjects unless the student has state recognised exemptions.
- The students must study four optional subjects.
- All senior cycle students who qualify for the leaving certificate vocational preparation (LCVP) are automatically enrolled in the programme.
- Initially, all options will be offered to each student; however, the option lines are organised based on the subject requests of the students.
- Clarin College aims to offer the following optional programmes. However, if there is insufficient demand or insufficient resources provided by the Department of Education and Skills, the subjects will not run for a given year group.
