Traveller Ethnicity Day

NUI Galway is to host a day-long series of online events on Monday 1 March 2021 as part of Traveller Ethnicity Day. Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science Simon Harris will officially launch the event and the Travellers in Higher Education: Building a Sense of Belonging documentary at 10.00 am.

With Senator Eileen Flynn, children’s author Richard O’Neilland Professor Sharon Gmelchare among those taking part. The online events are suitable for teachers, students, and the general public. The Galway and Roscommon Education and Training Board and NUI Galway Access Centre will host a webinar about progressing from further education to higher education.
